Today I have the house all to myself. My parents woke me up at 1pm my time to call in and check in which was greatly appreciated!
My dad put a stowaway in my backpack for my trip, which was my grandmother's toy when she was little, so at least I have a little company in my room.
I figured I would give my readers a little bit more details of the house I'm living in (just the inside since I haven't ventured much further outside). My house is a duplex of sort: One house, split down the middle.

You guys who have kept up have seen my bed, well here it is in the context of my room. Off the right I also have a desk with a computer and printer. My parents are probably looking at this saying it looks just like my room at home....a complete mess. Well my excuse, is still my sickness and that I was on the go for the first two days before I was sick. Hopefully at some point I'll get it all in order. Plants by the window, are VERY typical German styling. Behind the blinds I think I even have more plants. A window is naked without plants is the main gist, plus I will always have fresh air to breathe thanks to it.
The next stop here is the main bathroom. It is the only shower/bath room in the house. It's decorated quite madly with frogs and greenery and...
baby apes? It is certainly something I don't think I will get over.
Next stop is downstairs to the dining room. Coming down the stairs you walk right into the dining room. It is still set up for Christmas, but none the less it's where we all congregate for meals. Again a German table is not complete without a plant or flowers and candles.
This is the living room that is just off to the right of the dining room. Mostly this is where Harald and the girls watch the soap operas and TV movies. It's pretty comfy and Spike often curls up by my feet.
The Christmas Tree is still up, but I don't know for how long. Theirs is fake, but many Germans, even in the cities, invest in real trees.
Now you must prepare yourself for the funkiest bathroom ever seen!

I'm not kidding....It is dragon themed. Harald showed this to me the first day and I couldn't believe it. He likes to blame Sigrun for the decorating....but I don't know which one to believe.
I'm still a bit scared to enter that bathroom so I'll stick to the frogs and apes.
Hope you all enjoyed getting to know my Host family's home as much as I did.
